Centre for Research on Structural Transformation and Growth (CROSTAG)

The Virtual Research Centre promotes research related to structural transformation and growth, with a preference for work focused on developing countries. Structural transformation is defined broadly, encompassing sectoral movements, changes in the spatial structure of economies, movements between home and market, shifts from informality to formality, etc., consistent with the broader remit of the STEG programme.

The Centre runs an annual call for proposals for research projects closely related to STEG. The panel, which consists of the Convenor, Co-convenor, and Associate Director of Research (on ad-hoc basis) reviews the proposals and provides funding to the most relevant projects.
