The Alumni-Graduate Mentorship Afternoon will be the first of its kind run by the Department of Economics. Join us as we launch an outreach afternoon that will nurture the next generation of economists, and provide an opportunity for alumni to take part in our community again.
Graduate students will have the valuable opportunity to discover potential career avenues facilitated by some of our most experienced and engaged alumni. At this event, students will rotate through alumni from diverse industries, gaining real-world advice on post-graduate prospects, career strategies, and essential skills. This event also presents the opportunity for students to form a longer-term mentor relationship with alumni where they have time and capacity to do so.
Students from current MPhil, M-DPhil, and DPhil economics courses will all be eligible to participate in the event. Alumni from a wide range of industries and companies such as the NHS, PwC, Shell, NIESR, and NERA Consulting have already signed-up to join the event ensuring a diverse representation of possible career paths.
We hope that this event will be the first of many connections between our graduate students, alumni and wider industry contacts. We would love for you to join us, please get involved by using the registration link on this page.
