Douglas Gollin

Doug Gollin joined the Economics Department in 2022 after spending ten years in the Oxford Department of International Development. He was previously on the faculty of Williams College in the United States from 1996 to 2012. His research focuses broadly on economic development and growth, with an emphasis on structural transformation. He has interests in agricultural productivity and technology.
Doug currently serves as academic director for a research programme on Structural Transformation and Economic Growth (STEG), funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and managed by the CEPR.
