Cavit is a theoretical econometrician, with research interests in networks, and nonlinear panel models with unobserved heterogeneity.
He obtained his DPhil in 2012 from the University of Oxford. In the 2016-17 academic year he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Princeton University.
