Simon works on microeconomic theory, in particular market design and game theory. He is particularly interested in markets with indivisible goods, budget constraints and frictions such as transaction costs.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Grenoble-Alpes and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Zurich, both on market design for double auctions.
