DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS
The Development Economics research group is part of a large and active community of economists within Oxford analysing development issues -- from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. Many group members are associated with the Centre for the Study of African Economies and work closely with colleagues in the Oxford Department of International Development and the Blavatnik School of Government. In collaboration with CSAE, the research group supports researchers and students in undertaking field research in developing countries, in Africa and elsewhere. There are two seminar series in development economics in each term of the academic year.
The CSAE Lunchtime Seminar series is devoted primarily to outside speakers. CSAE Research Workshop is a more informal affair, at which students and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to present work in progress.
